Software Developer
Ian has been developing scientific and spatial software for 10 years and has been an advocate and user of open source since he first installed Linux. As a former contributer to Geotools, he is happy to return to the fold.
Ian has degrees in Geology and Computer Science from Colorado State University. His first maps were drawn by hand using a compass and colored pencils and detailed the geology of various locations in Colorado. He prefers web mapping now, but still collects rocks.
He works from various hotspots in Fort Collins, Colorado where he lives with his wife and son.
