Justin Deoliveira

Technical Lead

Justin has been programming geospatial solutions since 2001. He later became a GeoTools committer in 2003 and a core GeoServer developer in 2005. Now he has touched more lines of GeoServer code than anyone else, and is second in total number of commits.

Justin leads most major architectural decisions for GeoServer, such as the transition to Spring and Maven. He has also lead core WFS work and KML support. In GeoTools he maintains the PostGIS datastore, and has done cutting edge work on a new model for JDBC classes, with implementations of H2 and MySQL.

When not coding and leading development, Justin writes and delivers workshops on the OpenGeo Stack and GeoServer.
