Martin Davis

Software Developer

Martin has been working with geospatial software for over 15 years, as a developer and technical architect. He founded the JTS Topology Suite project in 2001, and continues to be the primary maintainer for this key open-source geospatial component. He also initiated the JUMP Universal Mapping Platform, JCS Conflation Suite and RoadMatcher projects. He has worked on many kinds of geospatial software, including road network conflation, route planning, geocoding, spatial data translation, and web-based incident tracking. Martin is a long-standing member of OSGeo, and in 2011 he received the Sol Katz award for achievement in open source geospatial software.

Martin's primary focus is on geospatial data management, processing and analysis, with an emphasis on the Java platform.
