Mike Pumphrey

Outreach Engineer

Mike oversees the often-neglected gap between software developers and end users. Believing that great software is only useful if it is accessible to anyone, he spends much of his time trying to increase the usability and reduce the learning curve of software. He also focuses on writing and maintaining documentation, supporting OpenGeo Enterprise clients, as well as teaching workshops and training courses at conferences around the world.

Mike is the author and maintainer of the Windows installers for both GeoServer and the OpenGeo Suite. He is also the author of the SLD Cookbook, a reference of helpful code samples for using SLD to style WMS-based maps. He is a contributor to the OpenGeo and GeoServer blogs.
