Coordinate geometry (COGO) is a method of inputting surveying or engineering data into GIS databases. The data typically consist of coordinates of points, distances and bearings between points, arcs and curves, point identifiers, and additional descriptions.
The first step is capturing the COGO information in a structured manner. Each traverse (collection of COGO data points and directions) will be captured as a group. The users will have the option to add new directions, new geolocated points, new arcs or curves, and other COGO events to the traverse. Using the OpenLayers COGO feature generator the traverse can be visualized as line in real time to allow users to see progress.

Map Styling Tools (SLD editing)
A premier feature of GeoExt will be a powerful style editor, built on the SLD standard, that can be integrated in to any application to let users change how the map looks. This will build on the work of Styler, improving and integrating those components to allow standalone SLD editing in addition to server-side style administration. It should support a variety of user friendly tools to create complex styling rules with ease.
Unique Values and Thematic Maps
Styling interfaces for thematic mapping require the classification of data, and the assignment of styles to each classification. This item would create a user interface for managing the style groups in a thematic map, and displaying the unique values in categorical data layers.
